Larissa received a master's degree from Rutgers University and is currently a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with various populations. She has experience working with children, teens, and various stages of adults. Although Larissa has worked with many different ages and mental health needs, her recent work has been focused on maternal mental health, self esteem, and grief. Larissa has a background in addictions and eating disorders as well.

My approach to therapy

She takes a holistic and individualized approach for each client and enjoys utilizing CBT work to help empower clients to change their negative thoughts. Larissa takes belief that other aspects of life (health/wellness,self-esteem,habits, goals, values, time management) have a powerful impact on your mental health. Larissa has experience in DBT, trauma-informed approach, SELF, CBT, mindfulness, grief, and Motivational Interviewing.

She is a huge advocate for incorporating daily self care into your routine and believes that travel, nature, and a good cup of coffee are a powerful tool for this. As an avid reader and researcher, she continues to look at new and modern modalities of treatment to utilize in her practice.
