Great to meet you!

Larissa Hemley, LMHC, NCC.

If you feel "stuck" in emotional or physical reactivity, you aren't alone. You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, insecurity, or specific phobias like flying, elevators, spiders, or needles. Perhaps you are haunted by "stuck" trauma images, night terrors, or panic attacks that make you feel out of control. You aren’t just looking to talk about the problem; you want to resolve it. Whether navigating deep grief or religious trauma, your goal is a lasting peace. You deserve a space where you are truly seen and where real, transformative change is possible.

As a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner and Trainer, I provide rapid relief by clearing "stuck" images and triggers that talk therapy misses. We resolve the emotional sting of trauma and phobias at a neurological level. With 25 years in ministry, I also offer Christian Counseling and faith integration. Other forms of therapy are also available.

Therapy sessions are offered in English or Portuguese.

My approach to therapy

I tailor each session to clients' needs, pace, and goals, whether you're navigating a recent life event or working through long-standing pain. My work is rooted in evidence-based methods such as: Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Techniques, Narrative & Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and others.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll identify your needs and goals to find the most effective route toward fast, sustainable relief. Afterwards, we'll decide on a therapy approach together based on your needs. Many clients seek me for ART's rapid results; while it frequently becomes part of treatment, the choice is entirely yours. We aim to move beyond coping into true restoration.
