Great to meet you!

Larneka Lavalais, M.S., M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC

Therapy that gets you. Healing that grows you.

Hi, I’m Larneka — a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who believes healing begins when you feel seen, understood, and supported. My approach is warm, authentic, and empowering.

I help adults navigate trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’m passionate about serving BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and underserved communities by providing therapy that honors each person’s identity and lived experience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and centered on you. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership—where you feel safe, heard, and respected. I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to help you understand patterns, build coping tools, and create meaningful change.

I also take a culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach, recognizing how identity, environment, and lived experience shape mental health. Whether you’re managing anxiety, healing from trauma, or simply trying to rediscover balance, I’ll meet you where you are and support your growth with empathy and honesty.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask some background questions to better understand your story, but there’s no pressure—you set the pace.

My goal is to create a calm, judgment-free space where you can speak openly and feel supported. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and explore strategies that fit your unique needs. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer idea of what therapy with me looks like and how we’ll move forward together.
