Great to meet you!

Growing up or living in a community where you've had to be strong just to get through the day can leave emotional scars that others don't always understand. Maybe you've witnessed violence, experienced abuse in a relationship, struggled to keep your family together, or watched your child act out at school after going through difficult experiences. I understand that family, culture, and the realities of life in communities like New Orleans can shape how we deal with pain, trust others, and ask for help. My goal is to provide a place where individuals, couples, and families feel understood, respected, and supported without having to explain or defend where they come from.

My approach to therapy

I believe you can't fully understand someone's struggles without understanding their family, community, and the experiences that shaped them. Whether you're trying to rebuild trust after betrayal, heal from an abusive relationship, navigate a difficult divorce, or help a child who's experienced foster care or trouble at school, we'll work on understanding what's behind the pain and finding ways to move forward. I focus on helping families communicate without constant conflict, supporting children who've experienced instability, and helping people regain a sense of safety after trauma or violence. I also offer counseling in the community and home visits because getting support shouldn't always mean having to come into an office.

What you can expect from me

You don't have to worry about being judged for your past, your family situation, or the challenges you've faced in your community. We'll talk about what's happening in your life, whether that's arguments at home, a marriage that's falling apart, a child struggling with behavior or school, or painful experiences that still affect how you feel and respond to others. I'll take time to understand your story, the people who matter to you, and what you've already been through without pressuring you to share more than you're comfortable with. Together, we'll identify what needs the most attention and begin working toward greater peace, stability, and healthier relationships.
