Great to meet you!

Seeking support takes courage, and I honor the strength it takes to begin this process. You may be navigating grief, major life transitions, identity exploration, or recovering from experiences of harm. Perhaps you are a young adult stepping into new responsibilities, a student balancing multiple pressures, or someone carrying the weight of anxiety or depression. You may simply want a space where you feel seen, affirmed, validated, and supported. A place to make sense of your experiences and move toward the life you envision.

That vision inspired me to create H.O.O.D. Counseling & Consulting — Heritage, Origin, and Our Dopeness. I founded H.O.O.D on the belief that healing is rooted in culture, lived experiences, and strength, reminding us that even in hardship, growth is possible. With 10+ years of experience, I offer a holistic, empowering, and culturally responsive approach. Clients describe me as compassionate, grounding, and direct, fostering an environment of trust and change.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing is not about being “fixed” but about reconnecting with the resilience already within you. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where your journey is honored and new possibilities emerge. Whether you seek clarity, connection, or healing, I would be honored and privileged to walk alongside you with compassion and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

When working with me, clients can expect a supportive and collaborative space from the very beginning. In our intake, I take time to learn about your story, values, and goals so we can build a plan that feels meaningful to you. Progress often looks like gaining clarity, developing tools to navigate challenges, and feeling more empowered in your daily life. I especially enjoy working with adults who are navigating life transitions, healing from trauma, or exploring identity and relationships. My approach is compassionate, culturally affirming, and tailored to your unique needs, because I believe healing should feel both safe and empowering.
