Latarsha Pittman

Hi, my name is Latarsha Pittman, I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I have obtained training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. My education includes a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialization, from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley as well as a MSN Family Nurse Practitioner from Austin Peay State University. I bring a humanistic philosophy of holistic care for both mind and body, and an abiding commitment to individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients. Prior to my current role, I worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at a community based outpatient clinic.

MY focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for adult clients ages 18-65+. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.

A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. I have the pleasure of working alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians and am happy to collaborate and coordinate care with them when appropriate to the clients’ needs.
