Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Latasha James-Bodie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in South Florida. I provide therapy for adults, adolescents, and children navigating a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, family conflict, grief, and self-esteem issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates psychodynamic insight with cognitive behavioral strategies, helping clients better understand the underlying patterns that shape their thoughts, emotions, and relationships—while also building practical tools for change.

I have worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, family stress, or emotional dysregulation. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, client-centered framework that prioritizes safety, trust, and collaboration. I tailor my approach to each individual’s developmental stage and unique needs—whether helping a child express themselves through play, guiding a teen through identity and relational challenges, or supporting an adult in unpacking long-standing patterns and healing from past experiences.

I have experience working with BIPOC and neurodiverse clients, and I strive to honor each person’s unique identity, background, and lived experience. Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and steady. I strive to create a supportive space where clients of all ages feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy, your current concerns, and any goals you’d like to work toward. We’ll also talk about your personal history, relationships, and anything that feels important for me to know.

This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—you're in control of the pace. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and respected from the start.
