Great to meet you!

Latavia Jo Harley, LCPC, is a holistic and trauma-informed therapist who helps clients move through life’s stuck places with gentleness and intention. She combines somatic practices, mindfulness, and evidence-based counseling to guide clients toward emotional balance, nervous system regulation, and deeper self-awareness.

Her approach is grounded yet compassionate—bridging body and mind to help clients not just talk about healing, but experience it. Latavia Jo is currently completing training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to further support clients managing anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm.

She is a fully licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois and under clinical supervision for Missouri. Clients often describe her sessions as grounding, intuitive, and refreshingly real—a space where insight meets embodiment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I blend evidence-based techniques with a holistic lens, helping clients understand both the emotional and physical roots of what they’re experiencing. I believe therapy should feel like a supportive partnership—one that empowers you, builds skills, and helps you reconnect with your strengths. I meet clients where they are, honor their lived experience, and tailor each session to what they need most that day.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, grounded space where we get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope to change or improve. There’s no pressure to “have it all together”—just honesty and openness at your own pace. We’ll explore immediate concerns, identify priorities, and begin outlining a plan that feels realistic and supportive. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and a therapist who’s in your corner from day one.
