Great to meet you!

My name is Latisha Holder, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) practicing in New York. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, intimacy concerns, sexual difficulties, and questions of identity and belonging. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel disconnected internally, especially within relationships or cultural expectations. My practice is rooted in helping people make sense of those internal conflicts in a way that feels structured, honest, and human.

My approach to therapy

My work integrates CBT, EMDR, and relational, person-centered therapy, but I don’t lead with technique; I lead with understanding. I pay close attention to patterns that repeat in relationships, emotional responses that feel outsized or confusing, and the places where people feel split between who they are and who they feel they should be. Therapy with me is active and reflective: we look at what’s happening, why it keeps happening, and what becomes possible when those patterns are no longer running unchecked.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a focused but unpressured conversation where we map what’s been weighing on you and what you’ve already tried to change. We’ll clarify what feels most urgent and what would actually feel different in your day-to-day life if therapy were working. Clients often leave with a clearer sense of direction and whether the space feels steady enough to do deeper work.
