Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting adults through the complexities of life, work, and emotional well-being. I hold a master’s degree in counseling and psychology and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. My passion lies in working with high-achieving professionals—people who are driven, responsible, and often stretched thin by the many roles they fill. Whether you're a corporate leader, clinician, educator, or entrepreneur, I offer a safe space for you to pause, process, and reconnect with yourself.

My work also extends to helping professionals in caregiving or service roles who are at risk for burnout. I understand the emotional toll of being “the strong one” and provide support that helps you refill your own cup—without guilt. I primarily work with adults aged 30 and older who are ready to prioritize their mental health and cultivate sustainable ways to thrive in both their personal and professional lives.

When I’m not in session, I serve as a professor of Counseling, where I blend real-world clinical insights into the academic environment. I live in Alabaster, Alabama, with my husband and our two energetic sons. Like many of my clients, I’m juggling a busy schedule, big goals, and the daily joy (and chaos) of family life—which is why I’m passionate about helping others like me find space to breathe, grow, and live with intention.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to invest in your well-being, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in a person-centered philosophy—I believe in meeting each client with genuine empathy, unconditional positive regard, and without judgment. At the core of my practice is the belief that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk beside you as you rediscover your strength, insight, and direction. While our work together begins with creating a safe, supportive space, I also integrate practical tools from solution-focused therapy, positive psychology, and acceptance and commitment therapy. These approaches help you move from insight to action, building meaningful change that aligns with your values. Whether you're someone who's used to solving everyone else's problems or simply need a space to exhale and be seen, therapy with me is a place where you can show up just as you are—no pressure, no expectations, just space to grow.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect an experience that is centered entirely on them—their needs, their growth, and their voice. I create a space where they feel seen, heard, and validated. Every session is designed to be meaningful, so clients leave knowing their time was valuable. I offer both comfort and challenge—because true growth often requires both. In our work together, clients will experience a safe, nurturing environment where they can explore freely, laugh deeply (yes, humor is part of the healing!), shed tears when needed, or simply sit in reflective silence.

They can also expect authenticity from me. I will always meet them with honesty and care—validating their experiences and challenging them when it serves their growth. Clients will walk away with greater self-awareness, practical insights, and an action plan tailored to help them move forward. Above all, they’ll know that investing in themselves through therapy is one of the most empowering things they can do.
