Great to meet you!

Dr. Winters completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2013 with specialty training in Neuropsychology. With over 10 years of experience as a psychologist, she has worked in various settings including inpatient psychiatric and crisis hospitals, correctional mental healthcare, military, university, and private practice. She treats adults from all backgrounds with issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, and work/life balance.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Dr. Winters partners with her clients by providing a safe and supportive space for them to explore their feelings and the circumstances that have influenced their lives. While clients are treated as unique individuals, her approach generally involves some combination of active listening, gentle challenging of unhealthy thinking patterns, identifying origins and solutions to problems, and empowering her clients to achieve their goals.

What you can expect from our first session

During your very first session (Intake), the majority of time is spent reviewing your history and identifying treatment goals. Clients end that session feeling encouraged and prepared to start the work of therapy. Beyond that, clients can expect to leave each session feeling their issues were heard and validated. Clients can expect to leave with at least one tool or strategy they can use throughout the week to start making progress toward their goals.
