Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Social Work and more than 20 years of experience as a Clinical Therapist, working with adults, couples and families. I have a lengthy history of past employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs, where I worked closely with Veterans experiencing a variety of mental health issues including Complex-PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Use Issues, co-occurring medical issues and Psychosis. As a Clinical Social Worker, I am not only a skilled and experienced psychotherapist, but I am keenly attuned to the entire bio-psycho-social system within which every individual exists. We are complex beings, made up of many parts, connected within a larger whole. I firmly believe we are so much more than the one problem we may be facing at any given time. Together, we can look at all of the parts of the larger whole and address those parts that may no longer be serving you, so that all aspects of life can come together and feel complete again.

While my ideal client is any individual over the age of 18, ready to show up and engage in the work of healing, some of my areas of expertise include Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Support, Existential Angst, Complex Trauma, Veterans and Active Military, LGBTQIA+, and Older Adults.

My approach to therapy

I walk alongside my clients, providing emotional support and skill-building, as individuals share their stories. I recognize the importance of creating space for my clients to feel in control and go at their own pace. I work from a culturally curious, trauma-informed perspective, with the awareness that every individual and every nervous system requires its own unique blend of therapy. Therefore, I am equipped with an eclectic bag of therapeutic tools and services. My style is interactive, authentic and warm. I strive to incorporate a sense of curiosity and weave in humor when appropriate. Self-work can be difficult, but healthy laughter builds connection and helps the issues we face to feel more manageable.

What you can expect from me

I firmly believe in each client's ability to heal and grow if given the chance. I'm here to help, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, to join with you in reaching your goals.
