Great to meet you!

I look forward to partnering with you on your path toward greater well-being. As a board-certified clinical social worker with 34 years of social work experience, I believe prioritizing your mental health is one of the most challenging and rewarding steps you can take.

My practice focuses on helping adults navigate grief, depression, adjustment concerns, and the effects of vicarious trauma. I also have a particular interest in supporting social work and human services professionals who give so much to others, as well as LGBTQIA2S+ adults seeking affirming, compassionate care.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, deeply person-centered and rooted in a genuine curiosity about your story. Everyone brings a unique story and experiences to the therapeutic relationship that I want to provide a safe space to explore together. I want for you to be seen, heard, and valued. My desire is to help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a way that heals the past, and helps to strengthen your ability to move towards a future grounded in self-acceptance and congruent with your current chapter of life.

What you can expect from me

I always like to start with an introductory session where you have the opportunity to share your story and the outcomes you would like to achieve in therapy. We will work collaboratively to help set goals/outcomes if you are unsure about this. I strive to create a warm and non-judgmental environment that allows you to feel comfortable in sharing and feeling vulnerable, while also feeling secure. The sessions that follow will be tailored to help you reach the outcomes/goals that you would like to accomplish.
