Great to meet you!

If you're an older adult in Louisiana dealing with loneliness, loss, health changes, or the weight of getting older in a world that moves too fast, I get it. And I can help.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in rural Louisiana, and I've spent my career working with seniors and adults navigating the full range of what life throws at you: anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, family conflict, sleep problems, identity shifts, and adjusting to chronic illness or disability. I'm a generalist, which means you don't have to fit a narrow box to work with me. If it's weighing on you, it's worth talking about.

I'm warm, unhurried, and easy to talk to. My clients tell me they feel heard in a way they haven't in a long time. For many of them, that's where the healing starts.

My approach to therapy

I adapt to what you need rather than running the same playbook with everyone. Depending on what you're working through, I'll draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify the thoughts that keep you stuck, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you find meaning even when things can't be fixed, Motivational Interviewing when change feels hard to start, and mindfulness techniques when your nervous system needs to settle down before anything else can happen.

For older adults especially, I pay attention to how physical health, family roles, loss, and life transitions all connect. We'll work on the whole picture, not just the symptom.

What you can expect from me

We'll spend our first session getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's going on now, what's happened before, your health, your family, and what you're hoping to feel or do differently. You drive the pace.

By the end, you'll have a clear sense of what we're working on together and whether I'm the right fit. There's no pressure and no commitment required. Questions about how this works, what to expect, and paperwork: we cover all of it before we dive in.
