About Me

What should your client know about you?

Hello, I'm Laura Chandler, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a MSSW degree in 2017. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including medical social work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as working as a school social worker.

My experience includes working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship problems, and life transitions.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning that I believe each person is unique and I tailor my treatment approach to meet their specific needs. I utilize evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help clients achieve their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. The goals and outcomes of therapy will vary depending on the needs of each individual client and we will work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that meets your unique needs and goals.
