Great to meet you!

I work with teens, young adults, professionals, couples, and families to address: Managing stress, burnout, or self-criticism. Navigating major life or career transitions. Preparing for and adjusting to college life. Anxiety, depression, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, people-pleasing. Developing healthier boundaries, Therapy for blended families and Pre-parenting couples counseling. I offer virtual sessions across Texas and Florida and see clients in person in San Antonio and San Marocs, Tx.

My approach to therapy

I value the importance of working as a team with my clients. My style is conversational but direct and focused on problem or issues that you are wanting to address. In our first session, we’ll get a clear picture of your goals and the patterns or stressors that are getting in the way. One of my goals for everyone is to give them at least one tool to help start feeling even a little bit better at the start of our work together. Over time my clients often describe feeling more self-aware, less reactive, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges with calm and clarity.

What you can expect from me

My style is conversational and non-judgmental. In your first session, I will ask you to expand on what prompted you to schedule with me and how long you have been dealing with the problem or issue you are wanting to work on. Throughout I will ask questions about your past and where you are today and start working on looking for any connections and how they relate to what motivated you to begin therapy. I believe you are the expert of you and will check in throughout on if what I am interpreting and summarizing is accurate for what you are feeling and thinking.

I believe that in order to make lasting changes it is important to explore the past and old ways of coping and how those same strategies may now be counterproductive. We start to touch on these kinds of topics in the first session. Toward the end I will ask you what your goals are for our work together and also share some additional goals I may have as well. Each session is 1 hour.
