Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Laura — a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, somatic psychotherapist, and fellow human navigating the messiness of growth.

With over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families, I specialize in helping people break through inner blocks, rebuild self-trust, and reconnect to the parts of themselves that have been long silenced—often since childhood.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, relationship challenges, self-doubt, trauma, or the complexities of identity and parenting—I offer a space where your experiences are held with compassion, clinical insight, and curiosity.

I integrate somatic therapy, inner child healing, and neuroscience-informed techniques to support nervous system regulation and meaningful, lasting change. My work is grounded in trauma-informed approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, and ERP—but I also incorporate coaching principles and neuroplasticity training to help you move beyond insight and into embodied transformation.

As a therapist and someone who has worked across schools, justice systems, and recovery programs—I bring a grounded, culturally attuned, and collaborative lens to our work together. I’m especially passionate about helping:

  • Adults untangle persistent self-criticism and shame
  • Adults with OCD, rumination, and intrusive thoughts find freedom from fear-based cycles
  • Entrepreneurs and high-achievers create internal safety (not just success)
  • Those healing from trauma learn to trust their body, intuition, and voice again

In our sessions, you can expect a blend of structured tools and intuitive exploration. Together, we’ll access both the intellect and the body—so your healing doesn’t just live in your head, but lands in your nervous system, relationships, and daily life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is deeply integrative—rooted in the science of the brain, the wisdom of the body, and the power of authentic connection.

I combine evidence-based modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with somatic practices and inner child work to help you not only understand your patterns—but actually shift them at the root.

I take a trauma-informed and compassion-focused lens, honoring the nervous system’s responses as intelligent adaptations rather than symptoms to "fix." Whether you're dealing with OCD, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, chronic self-doubt, or relational struggles, we’ll work together to build insight, safety, and emotional flexibility.

I’m especially attuned to the mind-body connection and help clients reconnect with their felt sense—so healing doesn’t just live in the mind, but is embodied, lived, and integrated.

Our work will be:

  • Collaborative – We co-create your healing process with curiosity and consent
  • Non-pathologizing – You are not broken; your patterns make sense
  • Practical and Depth-Oriented – You’ll gain tools and insight
  • Warm and Relational – Therapy is a safe space where all parts of you are welcome

Ultimately, I help people move from managing symptoms to building lives aligned with who they truly are—resilient, connected, and whole.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, collaborative space where all parts of you are welcome—including the anxious thoughts, the inner critic, the part that’s exhausted, and the part that still hopes things can get better.

My style is engaged, intuitive, and structured—you won’t be left floating. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and sustainable, but you’ll also be gently challenged to stretch in the direction of your growth.

Each session is tailored to your needs, but often includes:

  • A mix of practical tools and deeper emotional work We’ll use evidence-based techniques to manage symptoms (like OCD, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm), while also working to understand and transform the deeper roots.
  • Somatic and nervous system regulation practices Together, we’ll tune into your body—not to fix it, but to listen to it. You'll learn to track sensations, calm activation, and cultivate a felt sense of safety, especially when you're triggered or looping.
  • Inner child and parts work We’ll explore the younger parts of you that carry fear, shame, or unmet needs, and work toward re-parenting them with compassion and strength.
  • Ongoing reflection and clarity-building We’ll look at your patterns—not with blame, but with curiosity. I’ll help you notice what’s working, what’s stuck, and where we can gently experiment with something new.
  • A space where you're not alone You don't have to "perform" or be perfect here. This is your space to explore, process, untangle, and rebuild—with guidance, insight, and zero judgment.
