Great to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Laura. I’m a therapist helping high-achieving individuals and cycle breakers heal from family trauma, burnout, and guilt. Together, we’ll unlearn survival patterns and reconnect with who you are, not just who you had to be.

I get what it’s like to carry too much, too soon, whether that burden was passed down through your family or created by intense professional pressure. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and rooted in deep respect for everything you’ve had to overcome. You don’t have to keep doing it all alone. Let’s make room for you; for your rest, your voice, and your joy.

My approach to therapy

I take a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach to therapy, one that honors where you come from and the survival strategies you’ve had to adopt. As a first-gen therapist, I understand the unspoken pressure to hold it all together, to succeed, and to never ask for too much. I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with the parts of yourself that had to go quiet to survive. We’ll work toward more than just coping, we’ll build clarity, confidence, and connection to who you are, not just who you’ve had to be.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is all about slowing down and getting to know you, not just your story, but how you’ve carried it.

We’ll start by exploring what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what you’ve already tried. I’ll ask some questions about your background, relationships, and current stressors, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. You get to set the pace.

Most importantly, our first session is a chance for you to feel out whether this space feels safe and supportive. You can ask me anything about how I work, what therapy will look like, or what you can expect moving forward.
