Great to meet you!

I have nearly 30 years of experience as a professional social worker in a variety of settings which brought me into close contact with all kinds of people, and while there will always be more for me to learn, I remain open, curious, and respectful of each individual and their culture.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I think it’s fair to say that we all live in a pretty tough world and that most of us have lived through some pretty tough experiences. These can lead us to struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loneliness, relationship problems, and difficulty knowing our true selves. By creating a safe space and using different modalities such as psychoeducation, family systems theory, we can explore these and other issues so that you can feel better and work toward a more satisfying life.

What you can expect from our first session

First and foremost, clients can expect to take away from sessions with me the feeling of truly being heard and understood.

The goals and outcomes that I set for clients are developed with the clients themselves. They typically begin with the relief of the symptoms, such as those associated with anxiety and/or depression, that prompted the client to seek psychotherapy, and extend to skills they can use toward achieving this relief.
