Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Laura! I’m a Licensed Certified Social Worker with a background in hospice, grief, and trauma-informed care — and a deep belief that people deserve support that actually meets them where they are. I specialize in grief, loss, life transitions, and the kind of pain that doesn’t always have a name. I also hold advanced training in end-of-life care and am a doctoral candidate at Tulane University, where I study trauma and grief across the lifespan. If you’ve been carrying something heavy and haven’t found the right space yet, I’d love to hold that space for you.

My approach to therapy

I work from a trauma-informed lens, which means I’m always paying attention to safety, pacing, and your sense of control in our work together. My style is warm and collaborative — I’m not here to hand you a checklist, I’m here to work alongside you. I draw on grief theory, family systems, and ambiguous loss frameworks to help make sense of experiences that can feel really hard to put into words.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just a conversation. I want to hear what brought you in, what’s felt hard, and what you’re hoping to find on the other side of this. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out — that’s what we’ll work on together. You’ll leave knowing whether this feels like the right fit, and I hope it does.
