Great to meet you!

I approach therapy as a space for real transformation, not just symptom relief, but deep understanding of who you are and how you came to be here. My work is rooted in both clinical training and intuitive awareness, allowing me to meet you on multiple levels: emotional, psychological, and evidence based practice.

I graduated with honors as president of the honor society at Regis University in 2020. However, I've been in the counseling field as a counselor for over 26 years in some capacity working in a treatment facility, hospitals and a domestic violence shelter. I took a pause to be home with my kids when they were younger and was excited to return to the field.

I specialize in helping people navigate trauma, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and periods of feeling stuck or disconnected. Together, we explore patterns that may have been shaped by past experiences, relationships, or survival strategies, and gently begin to shift them in a way that feels safe and sustainable.

I engage with you, reflect patterns in real time, and help you connect the dots between your past and present. At the same time, I create a space where you can slow down, feel, and reconnect with yourself without judgment.

I often integrate body-based awareness, mindfulness, and deeper reflective work to help you move beyond just talking about change and actually experiencing it. Many of my clients come to me when they’re ready for something more than surface-level coping, they’re ready to understand themselves in a deeper way and create lasting shifts.

Above all, I believe therapy works best when you feel seen, understood, and genuinely supported. If you’re looking for a space where you can be real, explore what’s beneath the surface, and begin to move forward with clarity, this may be a good fit.

My approach to therapy

I help people who feel stuck in emotional or relationship patterns understand where those patterns come from and how to change them. My approach goes beyond surface-level coping, I focus on helping you connect the dots between your past experiences, your current reactions, and the deeper parts of yourself that are asking for attention.

I combine insight, emotional processing, and body awareness so that change isn’t just something you think about. It's something you actually experience. My style is warm, direct, and engaged, and I work best with clients who are ready to go deeper and create real, lasting shifts.

I feel genuinely honored by the trust my clients place in me, and I never take lightly the privilege of holding their most tender stories with care, respect, and heart.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll start by getting a clear understanding of what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to feel different in your life. You don’t need to have everything figured out—part of my role is helping you make sense of what feels confusing or overwhelming.

I’ll ask some questions about your current challenges, your history, and any patterns you’ve noticed in your emotions, relationships, or reactions. This isn’t just gathering information, it helps us begin connecting the dots right away.

My style is active and engaged, so you can expect a real conversation. I may reflect patterns I’m noticing, offer insights, or help you see things from a new perspective even in the first session.

We’ll also talk about what working together could look like your goals, what approach might be most helpful for you, and how we can move forward in a way that feels comfortable and effective.

Most importantly, the first session is a space for you to get a feel for me as well. Therapy works best when there’s a sense of connection and trust, so you’re encouraged to ask questions and see if this feels like the right fit for you.

If this resonates, I’d be honored to support your journey. Visit AwakenedLotusCounseling.com, text 303-747-3467, or email [email protected] to get more information, or simply book online.
