Great to meet you!

With over two decades of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges, my goal is to provide a clear, supportive space where real healing happens. I specialize in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, having worked across residential, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings since 2001.

As an EMDRIA-approved Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant, I help clients process trauma and break free from patterns that no longer serve them. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University (2006) and have been in private practice since 2011.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, direct, and focused on real results. Rather than just managing symptoms, we’ll work together to identify the root causes of what’s holding you back. I blend evidence-based methods—including EMDR, CBT, and DBT—with practical strategies tailored to your specific goals.

You can expect an active, inquisitive dialogue where we examine patterns, process trauma, and build tangible coping skills. My role is to guide and challenge you constructively so you can gain clarity, step into your strengths, and create lasting personal change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about setting a comfortable foundation and getting to know one another. We’ll take time to review your background, discuss what brings you to therapy, and talk through any immediate goals or concerns you have.

Rather than a rigid interview, it’s a collaborative conversation where you can share at your own pace. By the end of our first meeting, we’ll outline a clear plan for moving forward so you leave feeling heard, supported, and confident about the next steps.
