Great to meet you!

I am a native of Michigan and have lived in Colorado since 2011. I am in my early 40's and have worked for 16 years as a counselor in various capacities. I began working in substance abuse & with 12-step programs in 2009. I next worked as a massage therapist and in holistic mindfulness practices. I then worked as a school counselor and in school administration, collaborating with community partners to increase community resources for students and families prior to switching full-time into private practice counseling.

My approach to therapy

Counseling is a path of gaining self-awareness into our strengths and learning how to apply those so that we feel more actualized. I use trauma-informed approach to assist people in understanding how stressors affect and impact life. I help clients learn proper tools to assist in accommodating needs and developing skills that set one up for success in relationships, career and quality of life. that assist with developing skills to and gaining awareness to help them find balance with moods, fears, anxiety and struggles, be in relationship or with the past or even finding a new career!developing strategies and solutions to I support diversity of experience and fluidity of gender and practice unconditional positive regard and radical acceptance. I believe that the journey towards healing is one of self-awareness; spreading grace and compassion to parts of our "shadow" or the unseen corners; healing the inner child, illuminating one's strengths, while actualizing parts of self in need of validation and support.

What you can expect from me

Clients will have practical tools to use to assist in navigating life stressors. Clients will have increased self-awareness and ability to access resources to heal themselves. Clients will have increased awareness of self-concept, character strengths, defects of character and personal strengths that manifest into self-actualization and empowerment within the intricate tapestry we call Life.
