Great to meet you!

Laura Lasseter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Center Point who is passionate about helping people find healing, growth, and greater connection in their lives. She enjoys creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients can feel heard, understood, and encouraged as they work toward their goals.

Laura earned her Master of Social Work with a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mercer University. Her professional experience includes private practice, residential treatment settings serving adults with substance use disorders and children and teens with behavioral concerns, and the Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS).

My approach to therapy

Laura works with children, individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, shame, grief and loss, parenting concerns, and family stress. Her counseling approach is rooted in family systems and strengths-based perspectives, with an emphasis on helping clients recognize and build upon the strengths they already possess. She also has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and holds a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children. Laura considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate difficult seasons, strengthen their relationships, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
