Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Laura Lucas. With over 5 years of experience, I work with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, and the feeling of being stuck or disconnected from themselves. Many of the people I support are trying to make sense of painful patterns, build confidence, manage difficult emotions, or move through a season of change with more clarity and support. I believe therapy should be a safe, compassionate space where you can show up honestly without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and begin creating a life that feels more grounded, balanced, and aligned with who you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s needs. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real partnership, where your story, goals, values, and pace are respected. In session, we may explore the thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences, and patterns that are shaping how you feel and respond. We may also work on coping skills, emotional regulation, self-esteem, communication, boundaries, stress management, and healthier ways to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My style is compassionate and practical, with a focus on helping you feel understood while also building tools that support meaningful change outside of therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you as a whole person, not just the challenges bringing you to therapy. We will talk about what has been feeling difficult, what you have been carrying, your personal history, your strengths, your relationships, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, or a major life transition, we will begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and clearer about how therapy can support your healing, growth, and next steps.
