Great to meet you!

“I believe in meeting people where they are at, not leaving them there and empowering them in their journey towards wellness.”

I am a passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working to improve mental health locally for more than 25 years. I moved to Butte County in 1991 to pursue my education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CSU Chico; then earned a Master of Arts in Social Work from CSU Sacramento and have been a practicing LCSW since 2008. I am EMDR trained.

On my free time I enjoys the outdoors, sunsets, traveling, shopping, and my pets.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it meets you exactly where you are, no polished story required. Mental illness doesn't discriminate; it's real, no matter how "together" your life looks from the outside, and I'm not here to judge where you're starting from. Presence is everything to me: I'm fully with you in the room, not thinking ahead to my next question. And when life feels overwhelming, it's often because we're focused on what we can't control. So together, we'll sort out what's actually yours to work with, and take it one small step at a time.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is just a conversation, no pressure to have it all figured out. I'll ask about what's bringing you in and what life has looked like lately, but it's also your chance to get a feel for how I work. Expect me to listen closely, stay fully present, and hold space without judgment as we start mapping out what you're hoping to get from therapy.

If this resonates, I'd love to talk. Reach out whenever you're ready; no small step is too small.
