Great to meet you!

I will draw on decades of wide professional training and lived experience to nurture and develop insight and tools together. My education is in marriage, family, and child counseling, holistic health, and psychology. I’ve worked in therapy settings with all ages, including infants, and in social and behavioral programs. I strive to address bias and embrace diversity while being open to learning how each person’s race, culture, gender, sexuality, class and identity impacts their life.

My approach to therapy

Initially, we would get to know one another and identify approaches you may find helpful. I practice relationally with honesty and humor encouraging your innate abilities to thrive. I’ve found tools such as mindfulness, somatic awareness, emotionally focused interactions and art to promote new perspectives and healing for anxiety, grief, and trauma among other reasons we seek therapy. We can also incorporate actions outside of sessions to promote your goals and sense of wellness.

What you can expect from me

Perhaps most important is developing trusting rapport and personal connection to form a therapeutic relationship. If we decide to work together, I am hopeful we will creatively and collaboratively inspire an increased sense of peace, acceptance, and presence for you while recognizing the challenges we face in the context of our lives and world.
