Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Laura. I’m a therapist with a warm, holistic approach that looks at the full picture of your experiences—thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns—so we can better understand what you’re going through together. I earned my Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU and have been practicing for the past 4 years. Alongside my clinical work, I have experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as volunteer experience in bereavement counseling, both of which continue to shape the empathetic and grounded way I show up in my work. I primarily work with adults (18+) navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, burnout, and life transitions. I focus on helping clients feel more understood, supported, and less alone in what they’re carrying.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and supportive, with space for gentle challenge when it can support your growth. I aim to help you feel more connected to yourself, strengthen your confidence, and feel more grounded in who you are. Drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and ACT, I aim to help you build insight, navigate difficult emotions, and develop coping tools that feel realistic and sustainable in your daily life. Together, we look at the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be contributing to feeling stuck, and work toward making sense of them in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. Therapy is meant to feel steady, encouraging, and human—supporting you not just in symptom relief, but in feeling more like yourself again.

What you can expect from me

Sessions with me are a space to slow down and talk through what’s been feeling heavy, confusing, or hard to manage on your own. In our first session, we’ll focus on what’s bringing you in, what feels most important right now, and what you’re hoping for from therapy, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you. As we continue working together, sessions may include reflection, exploring patterns, processing emotions, or practicing tools that support you between sessions. I’ll always meet you where you are, and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of yourself and the path forward.
