Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Laura and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in practice since 2007. I have undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts from Northern Vermont University (formally Johnson State College) and earned my Masters Degree in direct practice social work from Rutgers University. I offer treatment to individuals, couples and families.

A bit about my approach to therapy

You will find me warm, empathic and down-to earth. I believe in a client-centered integrative, and solution-focused approach, built on understanding and connectivity, to help establish goals and guide change and progress for each unique situation. I have an extensive background in working with people in life transitions, through depression and anxiety, and also have experience and training in neurodivergence and Exposure Response Prevention for OCD.

What you can expect from our first session

In treatment, I work with clients to help them develop meaningful and realistic treatment goals, identify barriers and motivating forces, and believe firmly in the process of finding meaning and joy in the day to day through connections: to others, animals, nature, music, art, and ourselves and our unique interests and experiences.
