Great to meet you!
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and finding the right therapist matters. I am a LCSW with a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) and over 20 years of experience helping individuals work through trauma and PTSD, anxiety and panic, depression, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, anger, stress, and difficult life transitions. I also support clients navigating men's issues, women's issues, questions of identity (including gender identity), cultural and ethnic concerns, family and relationship challenges, and infertility. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings and have experience supporting individuals facing complex mental health challenges. In addition to providing therapy, I have supervised other clinicians and published original research in academic journals, which helps me bring a strong evidence-based perspective to my work with clients. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporate several evidence-based approaches depending on each client's needs, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), exposure therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and focused on helping clients better understand themselves while building practical tools for change. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly, process difficult experiences, and develop strategies to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
