Great to meet you!

I believe everyone has the capacity to heal. My own therapy helped me to trust in myself and others and I strive to build this trust with you.

My communication style is warm and direct as I first hear your story and then help you slow down. Together we’ll work to understand your emotions. Joy, anger, sadness and fear are messages to inform your life and how you want to be living. Therapy can help you decipher these feelings and get unstuck.

Before starting my private practice, I worked for several years as a middle and elementary school social worker. I hold a Masters degree in Social Work from Texas State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas A&M University. I continuously seek out opportunities to learn and grow so that I can provide the best service to you.

I am a mother of two, native Austinite, and coffee aficionado (read addict). I love walking my dogs and speaking Spanish as often as I can.

My approach to therapy

First we must first build trust and safety. Healing in therapy can only begin with a trusting and non-judgmental relationship. We will work together to identify patterns that have kept you stuck and help you identify new ways to manage difficult emotions. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to tailor a treatment plan that best fits your needs.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'll get to know your strengths and learn more about what you've been struggling with. From there, we'll set some goals about what changes you're hoping to make and see in order to leave therapy feeling confident and more like the version of you you aspire to be.
