Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Laura Serrano, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 3 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, stress, and major life transitions. Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming, and you may find yourself struggling to manage your emotions, feeling disconnected from who you are, or unsure how to move forward. You deserve a space where you can feel understood, explore what you’re going through, and begin finding a path forward.

I take a compassionate, personalized approach to therapy that recognizes your experiences, identity, and strengths. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, working through past experiences, or hoping to build a healthier relationship with yourself, I’m here to support you. I also offer therapy in both English and Spanish, so you can communicate in the language that feels most comfortable to you. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-awareness, stronger coping skills, and meaningful changes that help you feel more confident and balanced.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and centered on your individual needs. I believe you deserve to feel heard without judgment while having the opportunity to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Humanistic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Positive Psychology to help you recognize unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths, and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work together to find an approach that feels right for you. We may explore how past experiences influence your present, practice tools for managing difficult emotions, or identify small, meaningful steps toward the life you want to create. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, better equipped to handle challenges, and empowered to make choices that align with your values.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re not sure where to begin. Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and explore what you hope to get out of our work together. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals, discussing the challenges you’re facing, and exploring what kind of support would be most helpful. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel safe being yourself and sharing what matters to you. I want you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about taking the next steps toward greater well-being and meaningful change.
