Great to meet you!

I work with folks looking to improve their connection to themselves and others. I believe my clients are the experts on their lives and experiences, and I meet them where they’re at to begin the process of exploring themselves deeply. If you decide to work with me, we'll examine parts of your past, challenges in the present, and goals for the future while honoring your intersecting identities and natural strengths. I'll hold space for you to cry, vent, make jokes, or swear while helping you deconstruct unhelpful patterns, set healthier boundaries, heal past wounds, and embrace your most authentic self. I integrate aspects of Brainspotting, EMDR, parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and narrative techniques with psychodynamic, existential, and humanistic approaches to personalize your care based on your needs. Through both research-based techniques and being a real and approachable human, my goal is to help you find clarity and healing while creating meaningful and sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in my own core values: collaboration, authenticity, inclusivity, exploration, transparency, and growth. This isn’t therapy where you just “talk about your week” (although I always check in with you and love to hear the tea). I take a holistic, mind-body approach that honors how your brain, body, and nervous system are all connected. We’ll move at a pace that works for you — whether that means developing coping skills, challenging limiting beliefs, deep trauma processing with EMDR or Brainspotting, or simply learning how to slow down and breathe again.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for our work together. We’ll start by reviewing your intake paperwork, confidentiality, and other important logistics. Then, we’ll dive into what brought you in and what feels most important for us to focus on. Much of the first session (and honestly, the first few) can feel like storytelling as you catch me up on your background, history, symptoms, relationships, feelings, patterns, and whatever else feels relevant for me to know. From there, we’ll begin to outline what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. Together, we’ll set initial goals and start imagining what “feeling better” might look like for you. This is also your space to ask questions as they come up. I’m your therapist, but you’re the expert on your life. My goal is to help you feel heard, seen, and safe throughout our work together, and I welcome your input.
