Great to meet you!

My specialty is empowering clients to develop tools to embrace the present moment and courage to step forward as agents of influence over their own destiny. Treatment areas include anxiety, depression, adjustment, and women's issues for adolescents through mature adulthood. I became an LPC in 2017 after earning a master's degree in counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

We all benefit from a warm, genuinely empathetic listening environment. I believe that intentionally crafting treatment to reflect client values sets the foundation for successful treatment outcomes. I approach therapy with the intention of helping clients gain better insight and skills for enhancing their life in ways that are most meaningful to them. My practice frequently includes methods from CBT, DBT, and IFS.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to walk away from sessions feeling seen and heard with newfound clarity formed through processing their emotions, interpretations, and behaviors. Depending on individual need clients will gain insight on skills that promote emotional regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.
