Great to meet you!

I'm Michelle Smith — LPC, MA in Professional Counseling, and your biggest advocate before you've even said a word. I chose this work because I genuinely believe that every person who walks through the door carries something worth fighting for, and I want to be in your corner while you fight for it. I specialize in working with people who are anxious, exhausted, grieving, or just quietly wondering if things can ever feel different. Spoiler: they can. Whether you're carrying old wounds, navigating a hard season, or searching for something that feels like hope — I'm here for all of it. You have immense value and purpose, and my job is to help you remember that.

My approach to therapy

Think of me as part therapist, part cheerleader — someone who will sit with you in the hard stuff and hold your hope when you can't hold it yourself. I work primarily with person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and CBT, which means we'll explore your story, challenge the thoughts that are keeping you stuck, and always keep you at the center of the work. I'm not here to hand you a script or a checklist. I'm here to help you find your own powerful voice and the freedom to use it. Healing isn't linear, and I'm not in a rush — we move at your pace, always.

What you can expect from me

No prep needed. No perfect words. Just show up — that's literally all that's required. Our first session is a low-pressure conversation where I get to learn about you and you get to feel out whether this space feels right. I know it takes guts to walk into therapy, and I hold that with a lot of respect. My goal for that first session is simple: that you leave feeling a little less alone than when you arrived. There's no commitment, no expectations, and no judgment — just a warm room, an open door, and someone genuinely rooting for you from the very first minute.
