Hello! I love to work with the misfits and the rebels. I truly accept people as they are and really honor and enjoy diversity. Some of the special population groups I work with include BPD, ASD, persons who experienced emotional neglect or whom lost their emotional support as a child. I create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ persons, persons who are members of the kink community, and persons who engage in ethical non-monogamy.
Primarily, I use the technique of empathetic solution-focused therapy, which means you set your goals and I keep us focused on your meeting your goals. Solution focused therapy uses the techniques of finding your strengths, and using your resources, to try things in a different way for a different outcome. Clients can expect to be asked hard questions in a kind way. The intake session is a brief history of your entire life, but after that sessions are really led by you. You are asked to determine what you are hoping to get out of today's session, and you get to choose the topics that we discuss.
