Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience providing outpatient counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families, and more than 30 years working in social services. My background allows me to understand both the clinical and real-world challenges people face across the lifespan. I work with clients ages 7 through older adulthood, and I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.

I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, life transitions, relationship and family conflict, grief, self-esteem, and stress. I also have extensive experience working with chronic illness, chronic pain, cancer-related concerns, and women’s issues, and I bring compassionate understanding to this work, including insight informed by my own experience with migraines.

I serve a diverse range of clients, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals navigating divorce or codependency, and those recovering from domestic abuse or emotional trauma. My goal is to help clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they move toward meaningful change and improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, solution-focused, and strengths-based, while also honoring the impact of past experiences. I believe that while we cannot change the past, we can understand how it influences present patterns and develop practical tools to move forward with intention and clarity.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based and humanistic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Family Systems, Compassion-Focused, Feminist, and Person-Centered therapies. This eclectic style allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, values, and goals.

Therapy with me is a supportive space to gain insight, build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with what matters most. I aim to help clients feel more balanced, confident, and capable of navigating life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where we focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I will ask questions to better understand your history, current stressors, strengths, and supports, while also giving you space to share what feels most important. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, areas of focus, and potential next steps.

My priority in the first session is helping you feel heard, respected, and supported, and ensuring that therapy feels like a good fit. We will collaborate on a plan moving forward that aligns with your needs and goals, so you leave with a sense of direction and hope.
