My approach to therapy

Therapy is more than a conversation, it’s a transformative partnership. Every session is tailored to your unique story, blending evidence-based methods with intuition, mindfulness, and depth psychology.

You’ll experience a level of presence, care, and discernment that invites real change, supporting not just relief from pain, but a return to authenticity, purpose, and peace.

What you can expect from me

Every person who walks through my door is unique, and I approach each first session accordingly — there’s no one-size-fits-all formula here. That said, there are a few things clients can almost always expect.

First and foremost, I focus on building rapport. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling comfortable, at ease, and like you’ve found someone you can actually talk to. Counseling only works when there’s real trust, so creating that foundation matters more to me than checking boxes on an intake form.

From there, I want to understand you — not just your symptoms or your reasons for coming in, but your bigger picture. That might mean exploring your family dynamics, your relationships, your living situation, and the experiences that have shaped where you are today. I’m simply trying to get a genuine sense of what’s going on in your life and what brought you here.

If you’re coming in carrying significant trauma or PTSD, I won’t send you home without some tools in your pocket. I’ll often introduce grounding techniques in that first session so you have practical skills to draw on right away — because support shouldn’t wait until session three.

In short, you can expect to feel heard, respected, and met exactly where you are.
