Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Lauren. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, and forensic populations. I provide trauma-informed, strength-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and individuals navigating aging and life transitions, using CBT, mindfulness-based approaches, and family-centered care

My approach to therapy

My approach is strength-based, collaborative, and individualized. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, play therapy, and psychoeducational family therapy, always with attention to each client’s pace, comfort, and readiness. With children and adolescents, I incorporate play, creativity, and skill-building to support emotional expression and regulation. With teens and adults, we focus on insight, coping strategies, and building confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and make sure you feel comfortable. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’d like support with, and any goals you have. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past.

Because I provide telehealth sessions, you can join from the comfort and privacy of your own space. My style is calm, conversational, and collaborative — not intimidating. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll move at your pace.

By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer picture of your needs and outline next steps together so you leave feeling supported and hopeful.
