Great to meet you!

I’m Lauren Butler, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about helping people feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally supported in their lives. My work is rooted in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be honest about what they’re going through and feel truly heard.

I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and practical—not intimidating. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and build healthier ways of coping so they can move forward with more clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—each person’s story, personality, and goals matter. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, strengths-based therapy, and insight-oriented work to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I focus on helping clients develop practical tools they can use in everyday life while also addressing deeper emotional patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Therapy with me is a partnership: we work together to clarify goals, build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels safe and realistic.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a supportive, relaxed, and judgment-free environment. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you to therapy, and discussing what you hope to get out of the process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—my priority is helping you feel comfortable and understood.

We’ll begin to identify your goals and what you’d like to work on, and I’ll explain how therapy can support you in those areas. Many clients leave the first session feeling more hopeful, clearer about next steps, and reassured that they don’t have to figure things out alone. My aim is for you to feel supported, respected, and confident that this is a space where real growth can happen.
