Great to meet you!

Lauren Campasano, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker, with over 10 years of experience supporting older adults, individuals living with chronic illness or physical disabilities, and caregivers. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate life transitions, manage anxiety and depression, and build resilience through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Aging Studies with a concentration in health promotion from Ithaca College and her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. Lauren currently works as a hospital social worker specializing in oncology and blood disorders, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care during some of life’s most challenging moments

My approach to therapy

Lauren provides a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard and understood. She believes that each person’s life experiences and identity play an important role in shaping their emotional well-being, and she tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. Lauren integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based, and solution-focused techniques, along with mindfulness practices, to help clients build practical skills, increase self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change. Clients can expect a balance of reflection and action, with a focus on developing coping strategies and fostering resilience

What you can expect from me

A typical session with Lauren begins with a check-in to understand how you’ve been feeling and what’s most important to focus on that day. Sessions are conversational and collaborative, allowing space to process emotions, explore patterns, and identify challenges. Lauren may introduce practical tools from CBT, mindfulness exercises, or solution-focused strategies to help you manage symptoms and work toward your goals. Together, you will build insight, develop coping skills, and create a plan that supports your growth both inside and outside of sessions.
