Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who loves working with children, teens, and families as they navigate the ups and downs of growing up and figuring out who they are. I specialize in helping young people with anxiety, big emotions, self-esteem, confidence, and life transitions using a warm and creative approach that meets each client where they are. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place to be completely yourself, while also learning practical tools to make everyday life feel a little easier. My goal is to build a genuine connection with each client and help them recognize their strengths, understand themselves better, and feel confident in their ability to handle whatever comes next.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, genuine, and individualized approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are and adapting the work to their personality, age, and needs. With children and teens especially, I believe therapy should feel engaging and approachable, so I often incorporate games, creative activities, conversation, and hands-on tools rather than relying solely on traditional talk therapy. I focus on helping clients build emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, healthy relationships, and the ability to navigate challenges with greater flexibility and resilience. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches while leaving plenty of room for creativity and authentic connection.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to be different, and what you hope to get out of our work together, while also taking time to build a genuine connection. For children and teens, I keep the process relaxed and age-appropriate, often using conversation, activities, or creative ways to help them feel at ease rather than putting pressure on them to open up right away. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and strengths and create a plan for therapy that feels realistic, collaborative, and meaningful.
