Great to meet you!

I earned my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher. Much of my work includes a trauma-focused and client centered approach; utilizing EMDR therapy, mindfulness practices and attachment-based therapy. My specialties include addressing trauma, anxiety/depression, codependency, addictions and perinatal and postpartum anxiety and depression.

My own healing journey as a client of EMDR Therapy led me to become certified in it and passionate to facilitate healing for others. I had been in talk therapy for years and I had good insight, however I couldn't shift some negative thought patterns, anxiety and fears. It wasn't until I received my own EMDR Therapy that I was able to make major shifts in my conciseness and thought patterns. I was amazed at how this modality could create new neural pathways in my brain and I wanted to help my clients receive similar outcomes.

I am available for in-person and virtual sessions with adults.

My approach to therapy

Many of us have experienced trauma or stressful life events. I believe that we have the power to heal ourselves and at times we just need some extra support in doing so. I come from a wholistic approach addressing the mind body connection. I combine EMDR Therapy, Somatic practices, Mindfulness skills and Attachment-Focused Therapy to help clients overcome symptoms of trauma and achieve greater self-awareness and personal growth. Traumatic material can cause blockages or an imbalance in the nervous system; leading towards feelings of anxiety, depression or despair.

EMDR Therapy works to activate the brains natural healing powers and removes these blockages. EMDR Therapy accesses and processes these past stressful life events or traumatic memories; once held negative beliefs shift into positive ones and there is a decreases in emotional and physical intensity associated with the memory or memories.

In addition to EMDR, Mindfulness is the tool I teach to help clients regulate emotions and better cope with difficult thoughts. My compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy provides a safe space for clients to feel seen and heard, release any shame, feel empowered and cultivate self-kindness.

What you can expect from me
