Great to meet you!

I earned a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with a dual emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Brandman University. After having graduated I was employed at a non-profit agency working with children and families in the child welfare system. Many of my clients were victims of abuse and neglect. I worked closely with children, parents, and caregivers focusing on strengthening the family system and addressing early childhood trauma. Before having earned my Master’s degree, I worked in Applied Behavioral Analysis with children on the Autism Spectrum. I also have experience working with the severely mentally ill, as well as the elderly.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am very eclectic in my therapeutic approach and find value in several therapeutic orientations such as Humanistic/Existential, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Attachment Theory, and am trained in EMDR therapy. I am very client centered and believe in meeting my clients where they are at. I truly believe in the power and efficacy of therapy and like to provide a safe space for clients to explore and process their unique life experience.

What you can expect from our first session

My hope is that my clients leave sessions feeling heard, seen, and empowered.
