Great to meet you!

My role as a counselor is to provide a space where clients can be vulnerable and open about the challenges they face, and it’s such a privilege for me to do so. Utilizing a collaborative approach, together we identify realistic goals that promote better wellbeing and improved quality of life. Drawing upon cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, as well as other modalities, we gradually learn skills and restructure the way we think so that reprieve from these struggles can be reached. It’s so worth it to do the work. There is an excerpt from Pema Chodron’s book “When Things Fall Apart” that I especially appreciate when thinking about this type of work. It goes:

“There is a teaching that says that behind all hardening and tightening and rigidity of the heart, there’s always fear. But if you touch fear, behind fear there is a soft spot. And if you touch that soft spot, you find the vast blue sky”“
