Great to meet you!

I’m originally from Waycross, Georgia, but my professional journey in mental health began in Savannah, where I started working in the public school system. Since 2015, I’ve served as a school counselor, following the completion of my Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Georgia Southern University. My passion for supporting others through education and mental wellness led me to further my training, earning both a Specialist degree and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of presenting at state conferences on topics close to my heart, including suicide awareness in schools, the importance of mental health curricula, and integrating self-regulation skills across all grade levels. I maintain active membership in several professional organizations, including the Chi Upsilon Chi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the American Counseling Association, and the Georgia School Counselor Association.

In addition to my academic and professional background, I have specialized training in Mindset Coaching and Play Therapy, which further inform my creative and person-centered approach to working with clients.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a former college soccer and rugby player who now stays active by keeping up with my two adventurous children—they are my greatest joy and daily inspiration!

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered philosophy—honoring each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and voice. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. With an open mind and a creative spirit, I tailor our work together to fit your individual needs, using flexible, integrative strategies that support growth, insight, and self-compassion. Whether through conversation, expressive tools, or mindfulness practices, I strive to co-create a therapeutic environment that is both supportive and empowering.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling more connected to themselves, equipped with practical tools for emotional regulation, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity—not judgment—allowing space for clarity and healing. Whether processing difficult experiences or setting goals for the future, clients often gain a deeper sense of self-awareness, confidence in their inner wisdom, and renewed hope. My goal is for every session to feel like a safe, collaborative space where growth is not only possible—but encouraged.
