Great to meet you!

I want to make sure I'm a good fit for what my client is looking for in a therapist and that we're going to be able to do good work together.

In 2016, I graduated from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My program included a group thesis.

From 2016 to 2019, I worked at a Community Mental Health Center in Knoxville, TN, where I saw young children up to adults in outpatient, IOP, and in-home/community settings.

From 2019 until 2025, I moved to St. Louis, MO and worked in group practices where I mostly saw young children up to adolescents. I saw some adults who specifically requested DBT individual sessions.

In 2026, I moved to Huntsville, AL where I started a virtual practice, Lavender Hills Counseling LLC.

My approach to therapy

I enjoy using Dialectical Behavior Therapy because it has been used for decades across different populations and can address a variety of mental health disorders. I have been trained in DBT, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Parent-Child Interactive Therapy.

I help not only the children and adolescent clients who meet with me for individual sessions, but also the families that are part of their support system. I provide resources that can be accessed outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

I prioritize comfort and often let my clients know that I've been on the receiving end of therapy before - at different times in my life. I let them know what I can and cannot do as their prospective therapist. I let them know that if they don't feel comfortable having me as a therapist, I can help them find a provider they might feel comfortable meeting or can meet their desired mental health goals.
