Lauren holds a deep respect for multicultural and neurodiverse experiences from both personal and professional experiences. She worked on a research team validating a music therapy engagement scale for those with neurodiverse individuals, stroke victims, and individuals navigating grief and traumatic experiences. Lauren enjoys working with individuals from all cognitive and cultural backgrounds. In her experience as an individual therapist, she helped adults of all ages navigate life transitions, trauma, and relationships.
Lauren’s approach stems from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) based approaches. She is rooted in mindfulness-based work and acceptance of your true self. In her current role as a behavioral health intake therapist for inpatient psychiatry, she is exposed to a vast array of mental health-related issues. She works with individuals who have experienced an acute crisis and assesses their fit for inpatient behavioral health.
