Great to meet you!

I graduated from a graduate school that emphasized a Cognitive Behavioral approach to treatment. However, I was also able to receive a great deal of training from a DBT perspective, ACT and Person Centered in my studies and especially in my clinical training. Additionally, I am currently working on my DBT certification. I solely work with adults, but I am experienced with many populations, diagnoses and presentations.

My approach to therapy

First and foremost, I will meet my patient where they are at. I feel this is pertinent when it comes to giving great care and support. I like to believe I am an open-minded clinician and truly take in all information that is provided to me. This format has allowed me to tailor my approach to treatment in a manner that bring comfort to both me and my patients. Hence allowing for rapport to be built and progress to be made.

What you can expect from me

In the first session with me, patients should expect to share a little about themselves and why they decided to start therapy, or continue with therapy. I will never push patients to share things they are not ready to share, as I believe the therapeutic process is a delicate one and should be handled accordingly. I will discuss with the patient their expectations for therapy and goals will be established together. A relaxed environment should be expected along with overall respect.
