Great to meet you!

Hello! I have a masters in art therapy but hold licenses to be both a professional counselor and a registered art therapist. This allows me to have a unique take on therapy. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, explore challenges at your own pace, and build the skills needed to move forward with confidence.

I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach, tailoring therapy to each person's unique needs, interests, and goals.

While I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed care, I also enjoy integrating creativity and art when it feels helpful. No artistic experience is ever required—art is simply another way to express thoughts and emotions that can be difficult to put into words.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, emotional regulation, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, I'm committed to helping you feel heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools that extend beyond our sessions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach, so I tailor each session to meet your unique needs, strengths, and goals. Together, we'll create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to explore challenges, process emotions, and build meaningful skills for lasting change.

I use an integrative approach that draws from Art Therapy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. I enjoy incorporating creative and hands-on interventions when they align with a client's interests and goals, but art is always optional—no artistic experience or talent is required.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I strive to help you better understand yourself, develop healthy coping strategies, and build on your existing strengths. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and confident as you work toward the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what's important to you, and decide whether I feel like the right fit for your needs.

My goal is to create a welcoming, creative, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. There is no pressure to share everything right away—we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and develop a personalized plan that fits your needs, building a strong foundation for our work together. Rapport building is one of my greatest strengths.
